Enabling JavaScript in Microsoft Edge
JavaScript is enabled by default in modern Edge browsers, but the following steps allow you to verify or change the setting.
- Open Microsoft Edge on your computer.
- Click the three-dot menu (Settings and more icon) in the top-right corner of the browser window.
- Select Settings from the dropdown menu that appears.
- Click Cookies and site permissions in the left-hand sidebar. If you don't see the sidebar, you may need to click the three horizontal lines (menu icon) in the top-left corner to expand it.
- Scroll down and select JavaScript under the "All permissions" heading.
- Ensure the toggle switch next to Allowed (recommended) is turned on (it will be blue).
- Refresh your browser or the specific webpage you were trying to access for the changes to take effect.
