Enabling JavaScript in Microsoft Edge

JavaScript is enabled by default in modern Edge browsers, but the following steps allow you to verify or change the setting.

  1. Open Microsoft Edge on your computer.
  2. Click the three-dot menu (Settings and more icon) in the top-right corner of the browser window.
  3. Select Settings from the dropdown menu that appears.
  4. Click Cookies and site permissions in the left-hand sidebar. If you don't see the sidebar, you may need to click the three horizontal lines (menu icon) in the top-left corner to expand it.
  5. Scroll down and select JavaScript under the "All permissions" heading.
  6. Ensure the toggle switch next to Allowed (recommended) is turned on (it will be blue).
  7. Refresh your browser or the specific webpage you were trying to access for the changes to take effect.
